January 2025 saw one of our most exciting collaborations yet as SafeJawz stepped into the high-fashion arena at Paris Fashion Week. Partnering with visionary Parisian designer Kanoush for his brand Coucou Bebe 75018, we brought our expertise in protection and performance to a show like no other. This wasn’t just fashion—it was a statement. Fighters didn’t just walk the runway; they stepped into a fully-fledged MMA cage and went head-to-head in live matches, all while modeling the cutting-edge designs of Kanoush’s debut collection, "TESTOSTERONE." And when it came to keeping those fighters protected, only one brand was up to the challenge.
Kanoush’s show was a collision of worlds, merging high fashion with the raw intensity of combat sports. Inspired by the work of Russian performance artist Piotr Pavlensky, the collection explored masculinity, power, and resistance. Bold silhouettes, leather-clad fighters, and statement accessories turned the fighters into walking works of art. With Pavlensky’s stitched-mouth portrait featured in prints, the show made a powerful impact—not just visually, but culturally. The organiser, A/POLITICAL, known for boundary-pushing art projects and for holding the largest collection of socio-political art in the world, is the steward of Pavlensky’s work. The transformation of a runway into an MMA cage was nothing short of groundbreaking, redefining what a fashion show could be.
For SafeJawz, this was more than just a collaboration—it was a moment. Being chosen as the mouthguard provider for such an audacious show cemented our credibility in the combat sports world. When an event dedicated to raw power and resilience needs elite protection, they come to us. As a small but fearless British brand, getting a seat at one of the most globally anticipated events in fashion was a huge statement. Our presence at Paris Fashion Week proved that we’re not just a brand for athletes—we’re for anyone pushing limits, breaking boundaries, and redefining what’s possible.
Creativity is in our DNA, and this project allowed us to showcase that on a whole new level. Custom-fit mouthguards ensured the fighters could go all out in the cage without compromise, while our custom-printed self-fit mouthguards became a sought-after gift for guests. We didn’t just participate; we made history.
SafeJawz has always been about more than just protection. We’re about performance, personality, and pushing the envelope. Whether it’s on the pitch, in the ring, or—now—on the catwalk, we’re proving that mouthguards aren’t just essential; they’re iconic.
